CHAMPLAIN COLLEGE VERMONT FIRST SCHOLARSHIP

 Awarded to incoming first-year students who are academically talented, first-generation college bound students from Vermont.
The scholarship is need-based, and requires a record of academic excellence in high school and eligibility for the Pell Grant Program.
Funds up to the full cost of tuition, room and board.
Renewable for 4 years.

Must be a graduation senior from Danville High School with a well-defined motivation to pursue a higher education.

Must submit a short essay.

Must be present at the yearly Alumni Banquet to accept the award.

Applications are available in the Guidance Office, and include instructions for a short essay.  Transcript must also be attached to the application.

 

DERBY ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE AWARD:  $500.00

Student must be a descendant of a person who attended Derby Academy (last graduating year was 1967.)

Winner should attend the Alumni Banquet on Saturday, July 5, 2008.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Must be a high school senior or college undergraduate with juvenile arthritis that has been diagnosed by a physician.

AMOUNT:  FIFTEEN $2,000.00 AWARDS.

Scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited school of choice.

Requirements:  copy of transcript, list of honors, awards, extracurricular activities, work history and volunteer experience, two short essays, two long essays, senior photo, completed application, and two written references.
